Arab Startup Competition Eleventh Edition 2018: Social Entrepreneurship Track - 2nd Runner Up

Description

SunBox customizes and imports solar systems according to people's electricity needs and their financial limitations. We currently are running as a hybrid company with nonprofit and for profit arms. Due to the current economic crisis, families can not afford paying the full price, so we subsidize the household solar installations(1kw-3kw) up to 50% using the donations we raise so we can match their needs. At the same time, we run as a for profit company through providing systems of high capacity for companies and institutes, and then we reinvest part of the revenues into the subsidy model.
