Innovate For Refugees Third Edition 2019: Startups Track - Finalist

Description

We are creating a simple and secure way for companies to build diverse training data for computer vision AI applications. We connect teams of youth in the post-conflict countries of the Middle East to collaboratively work on these projects for global clients. Our goals are to build the most diverse workforce in the market, spur income generating opportunities for underemployed displaced youth, and bring a viable alternative to unethical training data practices in the space of Artificial Intelligence. Our mobile app is an innovation for inclusion that brings access to digital work to refugee youth, which often faces a challenge of being unbanked, living in the areas of poor electricity and no access to computers, as well as having cultural barriers preventing them from independent freelancing and vocational work.
