Arab Startup Competition Eleventh Edition 2018: Social Entrepreneurship Track - Finalist

We work on expanding the margin of recycling by collecting plastic waste in smart bins located in multiple locations. The smart bin is a compact reverse vending machine which collects plastic bottles, in exchange for credits. This system of collecting and shredding plastic waste instantly is as easy as tossing plastic in a regular trash bin and ensures that the plastic will not reach seas and oceans. The use of these machines encourages people to recycle and involves everyone in the recycling process from multiple locations simultaneously. The plastic flakes collected from the smart bins will be sold to plastic manufacturing companies as raw materials which will be transformed into useful products.
