Arab Startup Competition Eleventh Edition 2018: Social Entrepreneurship Track - Semi-finalist

Description

SE Factory is a program that invests in developing low-income coders’ skills across Lebanon to make them more employable. SE Factory offers various courses for marginalized youth, including a one-month foundational course, a three-month intensive advanced course, and an e-course with blended learning to reach youth in more marginalized areas. As a result, 90% of SE Factory’s alumni have found jobs in Lebanon, and have doubled their expected incomes, moving them from low-income to middle income within just a few months. SE Factory plans to empower thousands of low-income coders in Lebanon, with a long-term vision to scale up throughout the region to eventually reach thousands of Arab youth.
