Description

Intending to guide tourism to new entertaining activities in kind and respecting the environment on the one hand, having natural and cultural potential as a heritage in the region of North West Tunisia on the other hand And finally, trying to contribute to the development of an economic sector in line with sustainable development, we launched the Dar El Ain initiative, an hyper-integrated eco-tourism center in the rural lands of Northwest Tunisia. The objectives of the El Ain initiative are the creation of ecotourism hiking circuits and the establishment of an ecotourism center where ecotourism activities will be a source of income for the local population. The ecotourism center is based on a social and solidarity enterprise founded in 2015, which aims to develop the ancestral know-how of rural women as well as the local heritage and cultural specificities. The company now includes about forty local craftsmen and producers, and will also include a country cottage with a capacity of 16 people. The site also offers tourist activities Co-created with local civil society actors and with hotels in the region, these activities are developed and permanently registered in their territory, implemented in a responsible way in relation to the environment and Constitute a source of wealth for locals. The eco-tourism center is designed to create 8 permanent posts. In the event of an influx temporary employees will be recruited by encouraging women.
