BloomMasters 2017: Ideas Track
As citizens of the Tunisian republic , our inspiration comes from the daily problems that our fellow citizens face and in this case it's the alarming state of public transportation that caught our attention. Delays , break downs , sudden and undeclared trip canceling , you name it ... An endless amount of problems and the lack of real-time information made relying on public means seem like gambling , and you can never tell when you're carrying a losing hand that's going to ruin your day and get in the way of your plans. Solving such a problem would usually require governmental involvement to install and operate high tech location systems , and any outside/private attempts to do so will most likely be rejected . This is why an alternative solution had to be found . And this is how Jetchi , the mobile application , sprung into existence. A sort of social network that allows passengers to interchange information about the whereabouts of the means they're waiting for , any delays or trouble along the road , while also assuring privacy and credibility for our users through a well studied reward and punish system. Such a network will serve to lower the amount of inconvenience happening to passengers and to keep an eye on the state of our country's public transportations through providing statistics about the most "troublesome" lines which is crucial to finding any future solutions.
